Band Bio
Formed as a duo in 2010, we've been playing our blend of Folk, Renaissance, and Baroque music. Over time, we added contemporary pop/rock songs with our unique folksy twist We are open to playing in a series of diverse venues including coffee shops, Renaissance Faires, Highland Games, and other music festivals/celebrations.
Having expanded our membership roster to six incredible musicians, we hope to extend our reach beyond our humble desert origins to the hills and dales of greater California.

WHO WE ARE

RANDY BUCKLEY

RON DRAGOO
Mandolin and Backup Vocals
Ron joined Mayde in Ireland in 2019 after an extensive musical background dating back to the 70's, which includes country, classic rock, blues and gospel. He's toured with Eddie Arnold and Stuart Hamblin. He's also performed with the West Coast Jazz Ensemble at the Palmdale Playhouse. His experience shines through his instruments and his rich, bass voice serves as a perfect compliment to Randy's tenor lead.
Lead Vocals and Guitar
Founder of Mayde in Ireland in 2010, Randy fell in love with Irish folk from the moment he listened to his first Irish folk album. He began lessons in guitar and piano at the age of 8. Originally trained in classical, jazz, and contemporary Christian; none of those genres speak to his heart the same way that Irish folk has. Mayde in Ireland has been his pride and joy, providing Irish folk music to venues throughout Kern and LA Counties, for fifteen years. He hopes there will be many more years to come.

MARSHA TROCHIM
Fiddle, Harp, and Backup Vocals
Originally introduced to the band through our bassist, Marsha has been Mayde In Ireland's fiddler and harpist for eight years. She's played with a contra dance band, The Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles, and Lancaster Community Orchestra. Her previous experience in Celtic music made her a unique and ideal addition to the band. With a beautiful soprano voice and skill with two beautiful string instruments, Marsha gives something special to every song.

EVE HARRISON
Irish Flute
Having joined Mayde In Ireland in 2020, few people have proven loyalty to the craft more than Veterinarian Eve Harrison. She may be latest member to have joined, but her passion for music, kind and gentle spirit, and years of experience in a wide range of wind instruments puts her right at home.
Her orchestral background includes the Palisades Symphony, the Los Angeles Doctor's Symphony, the San Fernando Valley Symphony, & the National Medical Virtual Orchestra. She regularly performs for Irish, Scottish, Scandinavian, English Country & contra dance events, and provides music for weddings throughout the region. It's a wonder how she even makes time for our small Celtic group, but we are truly blessed to have her.

Upright Irish Bass
Save Randy, Mac is our longest standing member. He joined Mayde in Ireland in 2013, and we have been blessed every day since. He began his musical journey in high school and "never looked back" since. With a music degree and spots in more bands than we can list, Mac's experience shines through every time he takes the stage. He never needs chords or sheet music. All he needs is a song name and its key to give us perfect bass harmonies every time.
MARK McANDREW

Bodhran
Where would we be without the passion and loyalty of Mindy Johnson? Originally a bodhran student of our first drummer, she swiftly worked her way to a substitute drummer. With a background in dance and zills, she is no stranger to the importance of a steady beat. It is the beating heart of any successful band. Her fun style provides a unique sound to a group of musicians. We wouldn't just call her the heartbeat. She is the whole heart.
